History

The Regina Islamic School was founded by a dedicated group of parents who recognized the pressing need for an additional Islamic educational institution in Regina, Saskatchewan. The need arose from the fact that new Muslim students often had to wait several years before securing admission into the existing Islamic school. This situation prompted a handful of proactive parents to engage with the broader Muslim community to gauge their feelings and the urgency of establishing a new school.

Through extensive discussions and a shared sense of purpose, these parents discovered a widespread desire for an educational institution that could accommodate the growing number of Muslim children in the city. After a multi-year journey of meticulous preparation and community consultation, these visionary parents established the Regina Islamic School in 2024 as a non-profit educational institute. Their efforts were driven by a deep sense of faith and devotion, as they worked tirelessly for the sake of Allah SWT, hoping for reward in the hereafter.
