RIS Musalla

The presence of a musalla (prayer space) inside Regina Islamic School is of great importance, as it provides a dedicated area for students to perform daily prayers in the congregation. This practice instills a sense of discipline, unity, and spirituality among the children, reinforcing the values of regular prayer and community worship from an early age. The musalla also hosts a Jummah (Friday) prayer specifically for students, allowing them to partake in this important weekly worship within their school environment.

Friday Prayer (for the community)

This RIS musalla serves the broader downtown Muslim community by offering a second Jummah prayer open to the community, accommodating both brothers and sisters. This inclusion fosters a sense of community and convenience for working individuals. During this Jummah prayer, access is restricted to ensure that students are not mixed with the public, maintaining their safety and focus. Overall, the musalla enhances the spiritual life of students and strengthens their connection to their faith while serving the wider Muslim community.

Parking

For those attending Jummah prayer on Friday at the musalla, we encourage you to come without a car if possible and to perform ablution (wudu) beforehand, as there are no facilities for ablution at the musalla. For those who need to drive, a map is provided below to show dedicated parking spots behind the school, nearby street parking, and information on paid parking options. We appreciate your cooperation in making the prayer experience smooth and respectful for all attendees.
